I had been attempting to make cloth dolls for years before I created the original Star Heart dolls in 2010. I like making dolls as they are small scale projects that I can complete in a reasonable amount of time. they incorporate a number of needlework techniques: sewing, knitting, crochet, embroidery, felt-work and dressmaking. I have made quite a few dolls since 2010, some I have kept, some sold and some donated to charity.
